While trying to de-stash I come across lots of little reminders of sparks of inspiration. Here's a doodle of whaling ship flags that I sketched while in a museum on Nantucket. I love flags/burgees and have always wanted to make lots of flags. We fly the Maryland flag in the backyard not because we love Maryland, although a fine state, but the graphic is so splendid.
